Summer in Flachau
In the summertime there is much to do in and around Flachau not least just relaxing and enjoring the breathtaking scenery. The most popular acitivities being the lakes, cycle routes, walking and hiking. The Tourist Office is the best place to obtain a brochure of acitivies with opening times and prices. On this page we have identified some of the activities you may wish to participate in during your summer visit to the beautiful mountains.
Swimming
Flachau has two beautiful bathing lakes with drinking-water quality, where you can splash in the water or laze on a lilo free of charge.
Wasserwelt Amadé in Wagrain is a great water park giving lovers of water plenty of things to do with pools, great water slides, a 'sauna world' and fanatastic areas for relaxation. Spend a day here you will not be disappointed, click here for information on opening times & prices.
Zauchensee lake is a loverly clear mountain lake at an elevation of 1350 meters ideal to cool down after a long hike. Flachauwinkel lake set on the cycle trail to Flachauwinkel facilities available are a playground, a restaurant and a high rope course. Entry is Free.
Thermal spa pools and baths can be found further away at Bad Gastein and Bad Hofgastein. Golf
There is a minature golf course in Flachau opening times & prices can be obtained from the website.
The nearest 18 hole golf course is at Radstadt around 12 kms from Flachau. The course is 18 holes Par 71 5,962m off the men's tee. The course will give golfers of all levels a good test of golf in spectacular surroundings. There is also a 9 hole Par 3 course ideal for novice golfers. Cycling & Mountain Biking
There are some great cycle routes around Flachau with many away from the road being very child friendly. Bikes can be hired from the sports shops such as Sport2000 which is in the centre of the resort. Cycle maps and routes can be obtained from the Tourist Information Office.
Walking & Hiking
Many hiking routes can be found in and around the mountains from easy routes to all day strenous routes. The Star Jet 1 & 2 chairlifts run daily from July to September. See the tourist office interactive walking & cycling map for routes. Guided Tours with mountain guides can be booked through the tourist office.
Sport Camps
Acitivities such as canyoning, white water rafting, climbing, caving, biking & nordic walking can be arranged through the following centres:

Tennis
4 Clay tennis courts can be found at the sports ground in Flachau Phone 2734. Lessons can be booked with an instructor.
Inlineskater-Funpark
Activities such as street soccer, inline hockey, basketball and skate park can be found at the sports ground in Flachau whose facilities are free to use.
Toboggan Run
A summer toboggan run with a length of 850m and drop in altitude of 165m, generally open from July to end of August Phone 2890 or 2530
