Food & Drink
You will find a traditional, warm Austrian welcome in the all restaurants and bars in Flachau and the surrounding villages and towns. You will find a wide variety of restaurants, cafes and bars. We have mentioned just a few for you to try.
Flachau is a very familiy orientated resort with children welcome in most establishments. We have found, in comparison with some of the large well known resorts the prices are very reasonable in both the restaurants and bars.

Apre Ski
In the ski season Flachau has a lively after ski atmosphere. Try the mountain huts on your way home or the bars in the village.
and you must try the Weisser Bier and the Flügel drinks - I can recommend them!
Musistadl - Great music bar approximately 100 meters away from Tuckhaus, this is one of the the best bars in the region with live music everynight and excellent food. Website

Cafe Restaurant Steirerman - great food, traditional atmosphere, central location within easy walking distance from the apartment.
The 'Jagdhof' in Flachau has a long tradition as a central hot spot with restaurant, pizza-restaurant and dancing bar. It is a firm favourite with families having a children's playroom. Visit the website for more information.
Schsterhausl - Steak House - loverly traditional Austrain restaurant with a great garden area for eating alfresco in summer. Visit the website for more information, pictures and menus. A menu can also be downloaded here
In Wagrain the Haar-Trog Alm après ski bar and restaurant is a fantastic place both in winter and summer. The website is in German however it will give you an idea of what is available http://www.haartrog.at/ In winter the Après Ski starts at 3.30pm and has a great sun terrace with music.
Mountain Restaurant at the top of Star Jet I chairlift. Large restaurant, tradtional wooden design with plenty of Austrian charm.
Mountain restaurant at the top of Star Jet II chairlift. Excellent food, great for kids with a large paddling pool and outdoor activities in summer.
